Mr. Solberg has substantial experience in business and commercial litigation, government regulation/relations matters. He has extensive experience in a wide variety of variety of civil litigation matters including consumer class action litigation, civil rights class action litigation, contract actions, business torts, statutory and common law fraud, trade secret actions, declaratory judgment actions, employment litigation, employment discrimination, general commercial litigation, injunctive relief, including enforcement of covenants not to compete and for breach of fiduciary duties, multi-state regulatory actions, defamation actions, real estate litigation including zoning actions, and appellate representation. He regularly represents clients in federal and state courts and before administrative agencies. Mr. Solberg has been appointed a Special Assistant Attorney General to represent State officials and employees in civil rights actions in State and Federal Court. Mr. Solberg has also been appointed a Special Assistant State's Attorney to represent Sheriff Michael Sheahan and others in litigation in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois.

Before entering private practice, Mr. Solberg worked for seven years as an Assistant Illinois Attorney General representing State officials and employees in State and Federal Court and before administrative agencies. He has successfully tried to verdict civil rights claims brought against State officials and employees in the United States District Court for the Northern and Central Districts of Illinois. He has successfully tried Statewide class-action suits seeking injunctive relief against State officials in the Northern-District Court of Illinois. Mr. Solberg has substantial experience in administrative matters both before administrative agencies and in State Court in administrative review actions. While an Assistant Attorney General, Mr. Solberg represented State officials and employees from the Illinois Secretary of State, the Illinois State Police, the Department of Corrections, the Department of Aging, the State Board of Education, The Liquor Control Commission, the Illinois Racing Board, the Department of Professional Regulation, and the Capital Development Board.

He previously worked at Northrop Grumman Corporation, a global defense company serving U.S. and international commercial, government and military customers, where he focused on government contracts.
